We’re a young couple from the Netherlands who traded the grey skies for the endless sun of the Costa Blanca about four years ago. Back then, we left behind our steady jobs and familiar routines to start fresh in this beautiful part of Spain.
In the first years here, we tried everything. We worked in local restaurants, helped managing a bike rental and even spent a long time at a charming bodega learning the secrets behind Spain’s wonderful wines. Every job brought us closer to what makes the Costa Blanca truly special: its hidden corners, its vibrant communities, and the countless stories waiting to be discovered, if you just know where to look.
One thing always gave us energy: discovering new places and meeting new people. From spontaneous chats with locals or to long beach walks where we stumbled on secret coves no travel guide ever mentions these moments shaped our adventure here. And with every new friend and every curious tourist we met, we heard the same thing: “We wish we knew where to find the real gems, the places locals love, the secret spots you’d never find alone.”
