This 45 km loop takes you inland through charming mountain villages, peaceful roads, and rolling countryside, before bringing you back to the coast. It’s the perfect half-day escape for those looking to explore a quieter, more authentic side of the region.
Benidorm to Finestrat & Orxeta Loop
Discover mountain calm and charming villages
Start point: Begin at the quiet end of Levante Beach, for example near the old lookout point at the end of Avenida del Mediterráneo, or from Parque de l’Aigüera in central Benidorm.

Route Description
Head west along the coast until you reach La Cala de Finestrat, a peaceful coastal village where the sea gradually gives way to greener landscapes.
From here, start climbing the CV-758 road, which takes you higher up to the mountain village of Finestrat, located at the foot of the impressive Puig Campana. Take a moment to explore its colorful streets and peaceful atmosphere.
Continue cycling along CV-759 towards Orxeta, a small authentic mountain village surrounded by olive groves and pine trees. This is a perfect spot to pause for a coffee or snack in the village square.
For the return trip, follow CV-770 to Villajoyosa, a charming coastal town where you can stop briefly if you like.
From Villajoyosa, take the coastal road N-332 back to Benidorm, accompanied by the sound of the sea and refreshing ocean breeze.
Benidorm Coastal Viewpoints Circuit
A short ride filled with sea breeze and panoramic views
Start point: Start anywhere along Poniente Promenade, for example at Parque de Elche.
Route Description
From the park, head west following the coastline until you reach Tossal de la Cala. Here, a short but steep climb leads to a viewpoint with the ruins of an old Roman fort. The views over the bay make the climb well worth it.
Descend towards Cala de Finestrat, a small cove surrounded by rocky cliffs. Follow the coastal road along this bay and enjoy the sound of the waves.
Next, head east along the foot of Sierra Helada Natural Park. A gentle climb will bring you to the antenna viewpoint, offering panoramic views over Benidorm, the sea, and surrounding mountains.
After soaking in the views, descend back through the quiet streets of Rincón de Loix and return to town. Finish off with a stop at one of the beachside cafés if you like.

Start point: Start at Parque de Foietes or the upper roads of Levante Beach in Benidorm.
Route Description
Head north via CV-70, the main road climbing up into the mountains. Soon you’ll pass the village of La Nucía. Stop here at one of the many viewpoints overlooking Benidorm and the Mediterranean Sea — a perfect place to pause and enjoy the panoramic views.
Continue uphill towards the picturesque village of Polop, known for its ancient fountains and peaceful streets. A great spot to rest and grab a drink.
For the way back, take the quieter, winding road through Balcón de Ponoig, enjoying more beautiful views along the way. Then descend back to Benidorm on CV-70.
